I had read somewhere that the famous HK food critic Choy Lan had graced the opening of the Lot 10 food court some time back but din know what it was about. Previously the old food court had the usual local hawker fare and was kinda dark and gloomy being located at the LG floor.

Well it is totally revamped and refurbished now and a whole new concept of dining has emerged!

Located in the same area as the previous one ie. just outside the Isetan supermarket at LG floor, it is now a NON-HALAL food court. In place now are hawker fare that originates from some of the famous hawker street food around KL.

Some of the stalls have history dating back to pre-war days like the Hokkien Noodles from Petaling Street, Song Kee beef noodles from Cecil Street etc.

It was lunchtime with the usual boisterous lunch crowd but fortunately the air con in Lot 10 was still quite cooling. So you pay extra for the aircon and more comfy environment. However i found the design of the food court quite haphazard tho it may have been meant to be something akin to Petaling Street!! There is quite a wide variety of food including even Hoong Kee Porridge, Mr Siew Pao, Dim Sum, Penang hawker food....so if you'd like, you can try one a new dish daily.

Singapore Prawn fried noodles. Very good i must say.

Stir fried oyster omelette. Amazingly good and eat while hot!!

This is the famous Petaling Street Hokkien noodles that we use to patronise at nite for supper. However maybe due to the number of patrons and i suspect a gas stove(instead of charcoal) , the noodles were not up to the original standard!! RM8.50 per plate.

After the "heaviness" of a Hokkien Noodles(with pork lard), i had to order a pot of Jasmine tea from the dim sum shop. RM6.50 per pot with a choices ranging from green tea to pu erh etc.

Lastly tried the egg tart and portugese egg tart from Mr. Siew Pao...hmmm...disappointment..pastry was soft and crumbly. Cost RM1.70 each!! Preferred the one from the Pavillion food court.

All in all, I would say the new food courts seems to be a success if the standard of the food can be maintained and equivalent to the original store's standard. Infact i overheard some office ladies saying they could come here everyday and try out the different choices available. As for myself i would definitely come again, you may have to eat faster so that the food doesnt become cold but thats the price you have to pay.
